Gratitude
This site owes deep thanks to so many.
The site was researched and created by a dedicated team from the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology. Our thanks go out to Tara C. Trapani, Tyler Mark Nelson, Anna Thurston, Sam C. King, Elizabeth McAnally, Sam Mickey, and Oliver Mesmer for their loving curation of these resources and their hard work to birth this site and bring it out into the world, and to our developer, Jessica Battcher, for creating this online space for us to share it all. Gratitude also to Nikki Woods, Fatima Aw, and Tyler Mark Nelson for their marketing efforts to get the word out and let the world know that this new resource now exists.
Deep thanks to our supporters past and present, without whom we could not have created this site, including the V. Kann Rasmussen Foundation, the Kendeda Foundation, the Germeshausen Foundation, The Englehard Foundation, the Kalliopea Foundation, Roger Cooke and Joan Cirillo, and the Fetzer Institute.
Our gratitude goes out to the scholars and colleagues who contributed to the conversations around the creation of this site, including Les Sponsel, Paul Waldau, and Carl Safina.
We send our appreciation to those who shared images with us that appear on the site, including Fern Lickfield, Salicrow, Judy Emery, and J. Murray McHugh (for Gretchen McHugh).
And we send our deepest love and appreciation to our founders and directors, Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim, who are an inspiration to us and so many others, and whose lifelong work has led to the creation of this Living Earth Community project, the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology, the Journey of the Universe, the Religions of the World and Ecology online courses, important work in the area of Ecological Civilization, and so much more.
