Charles Hartshorne: Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy

This encyclopedia entry examines the life and work of American philosopher, Charles Hartshorne. A disciple of Alfred North Whitehead, Hartshorne is considered by many philosophers to be one of the most important philosophers of religion and metaphysicians of the twentieth century. He developed the field of process theology and popularized the modern use of the term “panentheism.”
