Navdanya

Navdanya is an Earth-centric, women-centric, and farmer led movement for the protection of biological and cultural diversity. Navdanya has conserved its rich seed heritage of nutritious, climate resilient food in more than 150 community seed banks freely saving, sharing and breeding native varieties. Navdanya means “nine seeds” (symbolizing protection of biological and cultural diversity) and also the “new gift” (for seed as commons), based on the right to save and share seeds.
