EcoCivilization Coalition
The EcoCivilization Coalition (formerly known as the Institute for Ecological Civilization) aggregates and amplifies existing solutions or actions, connecting dots between siloed issues and breaking down barriers in order to catalyze action. Specifically, EcoCiv supports local partners in the process of designing and implementing more effective and efficient solutions in particular locations (“hubs”), and then aims to prompt the replication and scaling of those solutions in other locations. The goal of these interventions is that an increasing number of communities make measurable progress toward a just and sustainable society. The Institute for Ecological Civilization (EcoCiv) first emerged as a vision of the scholar and activist John B. Cobb, Jr.

The Center for Process Studies
The Center for Process Studies (CPS) is a nonprofit think-and-action tank that conducts interdisciplinary research and education to cultivate holistic understanding for human and planetary flourishing. Process philosophy belongs to a tradition known for its complexity and academic rigor. It began with Cambridge mathematician turned Harvard philosopher Alfred North Whitehead at the turn of the 20th century. Process Studies refers to a transdisciplinary field of study inspired by thinkers like Whitehead, Hartshorne, and Cobb. It’s a perspective that has influenced many people around the world. The process-relational perspective is a framework for conceiving reality according to principles like deep relationality, self-organization, harmony, intrinsic value, interconnection, and change. The implications of taking these principles seriously are far-reaching. From cosmology and metaphysics, to ecology, psychology, religion, and beyond. Process thought shares many insights with systems thinking, deep ecology, Indigenous and Asian cultures; putting such wisdom in conversation with modern scientific insights.

Whitehead Research Project
The Whitehead Research Project (WRP) is dedicated to research and scholarship on the texts, philosophy and life of Alfred North Whitehead. It explores and analyzes the relevance of Whitehead’s thought in dialogue with contemporary philosophies in order to unfold his philosophy of organism and its consequences for our time and in relation to emerging philosophical thought. Of particular interest is the investigation into the emergence of Whitehead’s philosophy in the context of British and American pragmatism, its complicated relation to Continental philosophy and the analytic tradition, the relevance of his thought in the discourse of post-modern paradigms of deconstruction and post-structuralism, and its creative impulse for developing process philosophies. Additionally, following Whitehead’s own inclination to reach beyond European modes of thought, WRP seeks to extend its horizon of research by fostering similar conversations with strains of Indian and East Asian thought, thereby exhibiting de facto mutual influence (e.g., with the Kyoto School of Buddhist philosophy).
