Japanese Society of Forest Medicine

The purpose of the Japanese Society of Forest Medicine is to promote research on forest medicine including the effects of forest bathing trips and therapeutic effects of forests on human health. The Japanese Society of Forest Medicine collaborates with the Forest Agency of Japan, Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute of Japan, the Society of Forest Therapy, and other related academic societies to carry out the study of forest medicine, collecting and editing documents on the topic of forests and human health, and educational training on the practice of forest bathing trips. It also provides a platform for enterprises, universities and local governments who are interested in the practice of forest medicine for promoting the effective uses of forest resources on stress management, health promotion and the prevention and rehabilitation of diseases.

Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT)

The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) Guides and Programs is the most experienced global leader in Forest Therapy Guide Training and promoting the development and practice of Forest Therapy. Our Forest Therapy Guide Training draws on the latest medical research, new developments in the field of nature connection, and ancient traditions. Our heart-based “Relational Forest Therapy™” approach focuses on rebuilding relationships with the More-Than-Human World as a foundation for healing people and planet.

Center for Nature-informed Therapy

Nature Informed Therapy (NIT) is an innovative approach that integrates the healing power of nature with evidence-based therapeutic practices. Grounded in Ecopsychology, NIT addresses the mental health impacts of nature disconnection by fostering deeper relationships with the environment, oneself, and others. While most health and healing practitioners have established models of human function, NIT adds a foundational layer by incorporating nature into these approaches, enhancing emotional healing, resilience, and personal growth.
